Need member considering a 2008 LS460. Some basic questions
OK. First post and typo in the title LOL. NEW member....So for the last few days I have been trying to get educated on the various options and on what years they became available.
I have narrowed my search down to either a 2008 or 2009. I like the older body style a little more over the 2010.
A few questions.
1)2009 first year for AWD. Any problems with this system due to first year production?
2)On the 2008, other than the executive package which I don't need. Are the only options the ML sound system, and comfort package or is there also a touring package in addition. When doing searches on cars.com this touring package is never listed. Was it included in the comfort package or was an extra?
In summary what features are included with
A)comfort PKG
B)Touring PKG
Are these PKGS the same for 2009.
Lastly I found a Noble Spinel Mica with 30100 miles for $38000.00. It's at a Lexus dealership but is not a CPO car. What would it cost to get a CPO done on a car. The reason I ask is if it's a CPO car it qualifies for a 2.9% rate for 60-72 was is interesting.

try here for comparing packages between years. From my 4months of searching for the 'right' LS - pretty much all swb come with comfort package. Comfort plus is kinda rare. Touring package is on Long wheelbase only.
had a conversation with LS owner who traded 07 for awd 09 and no problems with drivetrain yet.
Be careful with cars.com/autotrader/eBay listings. Even when i called the dealers asking about which detailed options and packages LSs had , i got BS answers like "luxury wood" package(WTF?) or perforated leather package. Even a few local Lexus reps tried to convince me that comfort+ package was on LS600h only(they confused it with Executive package). A lot of reps will lie and BS you just to have you travel to their lot and then mind-***** you some more.
