Default 2008 LS600hL

Stopped by the only Lexus dealer here in Hawaii to see what was happening with the new 2009/2010 LS460 line. They had no 2009 LS460, LS460L in stock. Even the used inventory was devoid of any year LS. The salesman showed me the only thing they had on the lot, a 2008 LS600hL that was sitting in the corner of the garage. It was brand new, had only 28 miles on the odometer. The color was Starfire Pearl with grey leather interior and the dark grey birdseye wood trim (base price $104,300.00). Along with the standard options the LS600hL included the Executive-Class Seating Package II ($11,869.00), Pre-Collision System/Radar Cruise Control ($2,850.00) and last but not least McGuard wheel locks ($79.00). With a Destination charge of $765.00 the total came out to $120,463.00. My trade in was a 2004 LS430, Flint Mica with grey leather, premium package with 45,565 miles on the odometer. They offered me $20,00.00 for my car with a $20,000.00 discount of the list price of the 2008. Sounded fair but was still hesitant because of the year (2008). Asked for another $5,000.00 discount and the salesman complained that I was getting a really good deal as it was but would talk to his manager. Well, the manager okayed the additional $5,000.00 discount so I agreed and bought the care and drove it off the lot that day. Sound like a good deal?
On a second line, looking to tint the windows is it true that some tints containing metal with interfere with the GPS, Bluetooth, TPM? Any, reccomendations?
Aloha

welcome and congrats on your 600hl! you got the car already so i say not worry about the price, just enjoy the car 600hl is one great machine

on the tint, it's correct that metallic tint might interfere with the gps antenna. i would recommend non-metallic tint, or if you want to block heat, get ceramic

Congrats and welcome to the forum!!! IMO, the 2007-2009 LS 600h L looks the best, particularly on the exterior, vs. the refreshed one, and of course inside is the most richly-appointed Lexus ever made. Driving the LS 600h L on Oahu...I can only imagine what that must be like.
