Default Dash Rattle anyone..

I was going to post this question if anyone else was getting a dash rattle by the windshield, it's really getting bad. I found this TSIB that hit it right on the head http://www.lambros.net/tsib/2007LS/L-NV011-07.pdf

Now the whole frigging dash has to come out....man o man it's just never going to be the same. I'm going in for a fuel rail recall now they have to remove my dash......still love the car but this is getting serious. I'm glad I found a real good dealer.

Yep, I have a very mild rattle over bumpy surfaces that seems to be coming from the base of the windshield but I'm more concerned about having even more issues if they R&R the entire dash assembly. I also have the P.S. unit they might comment on while tearing things apart.

I plan to wait until my car is deeper into the warranty period to see if it gets any louder before I take it in.

I had the TSIB done for the dash rattle on my 07 SWB. Dealership did an excellent job and I couldn't find one bit of evidence that the dash was ever removed. Rattle was completely eliminated! My car was in the shop for a day or so. Good luck.

Thanks guys, I think they may have done this procedure, seems less intensive.

I have the dash rattle on my SWB as well. Dropped off the car last Monday and I believe they said it should be done sometime today, Friday. Not sure what's taking so long unless they are either very busy or have very few hands.

Did the dash rattle happen over time or did you have it as Zero miles?

The rattles on mine just started a few months back. I have 10k miles on the car now and I bought it in Aug 2007. Car is all done. They even did the fuel line recall!

Okay, just got my car back and they fixed the rattle by stuffing foam in the dash between the glass and the edge of the dash. I have more foam in my car from the dealer if I drive through a deep enough puddle my car should float.

When I had the wind noise problem they jambed foam all in the pillars. So much so my drivers window squeaks when it goes up.

I told the service MGR I keep my cars on the average 8 years, how long is the foam going to hold up. She said they would take care of it even after 8 years.....yeah right, I have six pistons calipers too.
