The 2009 LS 460 and LS 460 L luxury sedans carry over with the addition of front-passenger-seat memory. The LS 460 will have a base MSRP of $63,675, an increase of 1.2 percent or $775; the LS 460 L will have a base MSRP of $73,585, an increase of 0.9 percent or $685.
The newest additions to the LS lineup are the all-wheel drive versions of the LS 460 and LS 460 L, and they will carry base MSRPs of $67,200 and $77,110, respectively.
I'm guessing early on it will not be discounted, although in this environment...maybe there will be more negotiation room.
Dealer told me they would not be availalbe until November - he seemed to think they would come a bit after the standard 09's --BUT-- he may have been telling me this since I was inquiring about the AWD's - strong push to buy one of their MANY 08 460's they have on the lot. He said the AWD's would be roughly 5K more and would sell for MSRP which I doubt. I'm currently trying to decide if its best to wait for 09's - and do an Invoice deal XMAS or January on an 09 VS an 08 now.
My dealer told me the price for AWD will be $6000 higher than for RWD car. Just to have imagine. In my country prices for S-class 450 L 4-matic and LS 460L AWD are almost equal.
It sounds like the first shipment of cars is coming without ML, at least on SWB.
They're going to require MSRP as long as people are willing to pay it, and who came blame them. But, I'm not convinced about the wait list. They tend to dry up quick.

I am telling you, there is a VERY dry market for ANY $70,000+ car. The new AWD LS cars will get full pop for a VERY short period of time. Once the "I have to have the first one" people fade, and that will happen fast, the market will be very soft. The world changed. No, these cars won't go away, but it would be foolish to pay full juice for one of these puppies NOW.

If I were in the market for a large AWD luxury flagship sedan, I would rather take a S550 4matic at $10K+ off MSRP if Lexus dealers insist on selling their "first shipment" of LS460L AWD's at MSRP or anything close to it.
Here is what I have been told by a Lexus dealer in New York---
2009 LS 460 AWD w nav/pkg/ML
Black/black
O down.. just fees--TTL
36 mos 15 k miles- $1400.00/month- residual of 44%
48 mos 15k miles- $1300.00/month- residual of 39%
doesnt seem to be much room right now..probably will be more felx in a few months...
Very little avail too...
Based on your numbers, that looks like MSRP+. There is no way in hell I would do that deal now. Look at the stock market and economy. Let the car sit there for a few month...
