I'm not sure if this is normal for new brakes. Only have about 850 miles but brakes sure seem a lot more sensitive than my older ls430. Not sure if I should wait or have them checked. Maybe it's normal. Anyone else have this problem?
They are a little more sensative. They are electronically assisted instead of vacuumed assisted. No more brake boosters, just an electronic brake actuator and an ECM.
The sensitive brakes were a shocker for me as well. Either I've become accustomed to them or the brakes have broken in a bit because I really don't notice it anymore. On a similar note, my gf's 2006 4 Runner has very sensitive brakes.
I think as much as anything, the brakes are hard to modulate as you try to come to a smooth stop, since they don't give you the feedback and sensitivity you are used to.
As stated above, you either get used to it, or the brakes bed in and lose some of their touchiness.
