Default Upgraded Brakes

I've got a question for all you guys running upgraded brakes. I bought my 06 GS430 with upgraded brakes already on it (StopTech 6 piston front, 4 piston rear), so I have no idea how the stock brakes behaved. My previous car was an S2000, which had VERY responsive brakes. To me, these brakes seem really mushy. It also seems like I have to push the pedal in almost all the way, and then is goes from mushy and not really grabbing to almost locking the brakes up. I'm no mechanic, but I wonder if maybe the brakes weren't bled properly when they were installed? Any ideas would be great. Also, the car has 22" rims, which I thought may affect the braking ability?

sounds like the brakes were not bled correctly and you might have bubbles in it

the stock brakes are pretty sensitive already, you should at least have that feel
