As a moderator there I assume you know that the other community you mention runs on completely different forum software called xenforo (think Mac and PC). vbulletin is what CL uses and it simply doesn’t work that way and I have no way to change it. The search string is simply not saved long term here or on other vbulletin forums. It is not a “seemingly simple” solution, it’s just not the way vbulletin works..

i understand it is another few seconds of typing for you to describe the search criteria or even better give links to a couple of the best threads of the search results to help others and I, and I’m sure they would appreciate that.
