Have a 2019 Lexus LC 500 needing a car battery. Anything to know about replacement? From viewing it seems that there are a number of things connected to the terminals but all seem to come off with the terminal clamps, except vent tube. Am I wrong? Anything else? Do I need to have any concerns with a non-Lexus battery replacement, I would buy a quality one. Any concerns about saving/losing settings? Thanks!
When I disconnected it for a few minutes to hard wire my Battery Tender bank to it, the only thing I lost was the auto motion driver seat calibration. In essence, it didn't know where the seat was any longer and didn't to into auto move back/forward mode. All you have to do is then cycle the seat all the way back and all the way forward and the sensors then know where the seat is again.
I replaced my battery with a AGM at my local auto store (advanced auto parts) and it was straightforward. Didn't lose any settings or anything. Everything functions as it should.
in the trunk, remove 2 or 3 of the carpet covers under the trunk mat (if you have one)
I just reattached my battery tender terminals to it, no issues.
Yep, refer to the sticky instead of starting a new thread. My post there:
My car was starting a little week so when I had it in to the dealer for an alignment I had them check it and it was failing. The replacement was ~$220 plus $60 installation labor. The nice perk is that it's a 2 year 100% P&L warranty and 50% P&L warranty for years 3 and 4. It's an Interstate battery and also what my rep said is that if it fails during this time, you get a full warranty on the replacement battery. With that info and the convenience of it, having the dealer do it was a no brainer.
