Default Possible to replace DRL Bulb?

Hello again,

2013 LS460L without PCS or Radar Cruise. My headlights do “swivel” when turning. I have the “DRL Line” that appears to be dead on one headlight (see attached pictures and ignore the dirt – 2k mile road trip) and wondering if that’s a bulb that can be replaced or needs the whole capsule. I can’t see to find a lot of hits for this year/model searching online. I did see https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...t-replace.html and
but not exactly my issue. All other lights work correctly.

Any thoughts, advise, and information is much appreciated.

I love the car care nut, no homo.

Since you searched, ill help you but you will likely be discouraged. You will likely have to live with it or buy a used headlight. ORRRR, just turn off the DRL completely in the settings.

here is how to "change" it. : )

Thank you, I don't know why I couldn't find that thread with search. It's apparently very involved. Wow.

It is technically possible to replace those DRLs, but it requires complete disassembly of the headlight. Also I'm not sure if those LED assemblies even sold separately. I bought used headlight for parts when I needed some of that stuff.

Yeah, it looks rough to do. I found these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/177079654197?var=476775795011 and this video showing it:

4 hours per headlight. A replacement headlight, used, is $800+ and new is $2000. So maybe worth the 4 hours of work.

can it be done? Yes, but its a pain in the butt! I have a set that I'm about to sell that was refurbished. It is a triple beam lights off my 2015.

How much are you asking for it?

ah, another great solution! More of an OEM style repair. Good to know!
