Getting C2126 code after programming TPMS Sensors
I bought 5 tpms sensors on eBay. The seller claims they are original. They arrived in a red and white factory box w 42607-33021 written on the box. The seller has sold about 100+ and has 7 positive feedback ratings for this item.
I first tried to program them w/ mini vci cable. that didn't work I then had bought a vci nano and was able to write the id's of the new sensors to the ecu.
However, after programming, I'm left w/ error C2126...
Previous posts when searching C2126 say tpms sensors need to be "Triggered" but what does that mean? I also read the TPMS sensor needed to be installed and the tire deflated and reflated.
I did also learn of a tpms reset button under the driver's dash as well as in the infotainment system I got it go into "calibration mode" but didn't seem to change anything...
I also read the car needed to be driven for 10 minutes while other threads say the sensors are read after just 1 minute. So I'm not sure what the situation is with that. I did drive w/ the TPMS Sensors taped to each wheel and one in the trunk but that did not help..
Here is why I'm making the new separate post and it is because these wheels/tires are heavy and to actually replace the sensor w/ these new ones is a lot of work for an old man with arthritis.
Is there any way to get the car to recognize these new sensors w/o me having to install them? Are they incorrect or faulty?
Can I install just one as a test before installing all 5 ?
I've also written to the eBay seller and we'll see what advise he has for me.
Thank you my brothers.

- The answer to your question if you could test the TPMS sensors without actually installing them inside tires is No. Toyota/Lexus uses a direct tire pressure monitoring system, which requires that the TPMS sensors be installed inside the tires for the sensors to be activated and sending tire information to the ECU.
- Judging from the price you paid for your TPMS sensors, I'm pretty sure that your bought fake Toyota OE TPMS sensors, despite the Toyota/Lexus package it had. Lexus/Toyota dealers sell genuine Toyota TPMS sensors at about $70+ each and retail auto parts stores sell genuine Denso OE (Pacific) TPMS sensors at $30+ each.
- From my experience, the fake Toyota/Lexus TPMS sensors work. They can be registered in the ECU with Techstreeam just like real Toyota/Lexus TPMS sensors and they can also read and send accurate tire pressure information to the ECU just like real Toyota/Lexus TPMS sensors. The only problem is that their batteries don't last long. My no-name TPMS sensors' batteries lasted anywhere from six months to 16 months. If you want to save money and avoid replacing TPMS sensors frequently, buy Denso (Pacific) OE TPMS sensors.
- In my experience, after a TPMS sensor is replaced and registered in ECU, in less than a minute, the error code on the dash will be gone. For details of my experience with no-name TPMS sensors, see here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...460-ls600.html

I figured earlier today, I might as well install 1 tpms and see if the computer sees it.. and to my surprise it worked.. so i went ahead and decided to do all 5.. until I got to the spare tire and
HOLY SMOKES... I did not expect to see this because tech stream showed good pressure on this tire before I changed the ID..
I bought the car like this and I have to wonder why did they even bother putting this into the trunk.. looked like the rim was scratched up as well.. I suppose they put it off and never got around to it.
I guess I will be hunting for a used tire tomorrow..
The last picture shows the 4 old and perhaps original tpms sensors next to the last new and presumably fake one I have left to do
When in sleep mode, centrifugal force will cause the sensors to wake up but as you observed, that didn't work.
What is beyond me is the shredded up gouged out tires w/ holes in registered exactly 33.0 psi in tech stream
veerrrrrrrrrrrrrry interesting
Pic #1 - Off to replace that shredded spare tire
Pic#2 - I put the spare in the back along w/ it's new TPMS Sensor but now it seems I exchanged "Check tire pressure system" for a "Low tire pressure warning" and I still have a light on even though the car is reading good pressure on all 5 tires.. what the hell..
I tried and entered tire calibration mode via the infotainment but no help...
Pic#3 - after hitting the tire reset button under the dashboard.. FINALLY.. NO TPMS LIGHT.. NO WARNING LIGHTS ON AT ALL.. and there were SEVERAL when I first got this car.
Happy Car.. Happy Life.
The total cost just to not have TPMS light
$100 mini vci
$50 TPMS Sensors
I don't know if I could spending on money for a spare tire or not..
I guess it was just $150.. feels like it cost me more than that... Plus it was quite a bit of work each tire/wheel has to weigh 50lbs or so and I'm old so..
It's a lot of work to jack up the car 4 times remove each wheel bust each bead..
I kind of made a spectacle in the neighborhood.. each tire makes LOUD popping sounds when you air them back up.
I hope no one complains to HOA lol..
This is all MUCH EASIER on a car w/ smaller 15/16 in wheels.
Anyway, I'd like to thank all of my Club Lexus Brothers for their insightful thoughts.
after a little break, it will be back engine/trans mounts and exhaust leaks
Cheers brothers.. happy driving.

I really did all your steps, and it's reach until the psi checking, i have pressed the reset button but nothing happening.
My question as follow:
1-do I register the original ID sennsor or put the new ID because the new ID doesn't work.
2-is there any clear steps need to be done like the original sensors should be with me in the car, or the new sensors should be fixed in the rim?
Please advise.
Thanks all for the great support.
It's keep checking only in the display
