I have a 2007 LS with 108,000 miles. It seems like I just hit a streak of bad issues with the car lately. First it was the ABS module and recently changed that out (wasn't too bad of a job). Just right after this, I began having trunk issues where the trunk won't close/latch. I did some investigation and read on here that it was a common issue with the trunk latch motor. So I went ahead and replace the latch motor and confirm that the existing one was bad as one of the plastic pieces was broken. However, after replacing this motor, I'm unable to close the trunk now. I can't even manually close the trunk and when I tried there is a resistance that won't allow me to push it down. It's basically stuck in the fully open position. Previously, I was able to at least push the trunk down without any resistance. I have tried to do a battery reset and also checked the fuse to no avail. At this point, I'm wondering if I have a bad power lift motor. Has anyone had similar issues? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
