There's a good chance that the piston rings have deposits and causing the oil consumption. There are professional treatments that are added to oil, run about 15 minutes and then an oil change. This can ungum the rings and allow them to stop oil consumption again. It's a ring issue that is known and the few hundred you spend may resolve your issue. Better to try and fix a problem than to change oil weight.
Check the PCV, and if that's working I would pull the plugs and attempt to break the rings free using B12 left to soak 4 hours for every 90* of rotation.
When I picked up my 460 it burnt about as much as yours at first, I did the above and then drove it very hard to get everything to clear up. These engines need to be redlined here and there or you will lock up the rings.
Do not charge weight to anything other than 0w-20 or 0w-30 at max, and that's only if you are going to really get heat into it...
Pulling spark plugs will tell you if oil is getting past the rings and burning it. If so, new plugs will probably be appropriate. Also, a bore scope can be inserted for a look inside. If you really want to know. If the valve cover gaskets are leaking there will be oil on the exterior of spark plugs. Multiple reasons to check the plugs.
Do not change the weight of your oil under any circumstances. Use the manufacturer's recommended weight. They spend millions of dollars refining the engine for a specific weight.
Have you tried a different synthetic? Mobil? Penzoil? Etc.
Are you using a high mileage oil? Those have additional detergents.
What's your oil change intervals?
What are you driving habits? In-town or highway?
I've had good luck with Marvel Mystery Oil as a cleaner. But you do have to change your oil afterwards.Run it around the block to circulate and then turn off. Doing that several times in a day. Then change the oil and filter.
