Question regarding when to get oil change
So my IS250 is about 200 miles away from 10k miles. I live in Boston and am planning to take the car on a trip to Montreal which is about 300 miles away. So thats a 600 mile round trip, thus taking me well past the 10k mark. Question I have is should I get my 10k oil change before or after the trip? Is it better to have the new oil for the trip or start fresh when I get back? Or it doesn't really matter? Thanks for any input you can provide.

I'm **** about my car. I would change it before the trip.
If you have time to change it change it. Otherwise, don't worry about it. The interval is a guide. Going over by a few hundred miles is nothing. Highway miles are easy on a car's lubrication system.
If it was me, I'd change it before the trip. And switch to synthetic. If you're going to wait, then just double-check to ensure that the oil is filled to the proper level. It's not unusual for a car to burn a quart of oil in 5000 miles.
