I have a 06 rear differential is going bad, making clicking noise when driving, shop said i needed to replace the diff, so any ideas where i could get one? I’m also open to get a welded diff or lsd. Currently searching for a diff on ebay but i wanna hear other knowledge tips before buying. Thanks in advance!
Check to make sure it's not your axles broken axles click not rear ends. The rear end will sound like a really bad loud power steering pump whine with some metallic banging sounds.
You can also swap in sc300/400/gs diff as well with a 3.92, 4.0 gear ratio etc you just need to swap the pinion flange between the rear ends. Oh also for 04-06 you need 01-03 uneven length axles other than that it bolts right up.

I highly suggest to obtain the second view on the issue before you replace the diff.
Im sure it’s the diff, I have a video of it lifted up on hoist and the sound is coming from the diff
Are you sure it's not coming from the cups right next to the diff I am 99% it's not the differential. Rear ends in general don't making clicking noises it's either loud whining like a power steering pump from hell which is usually bearings, or they will clunk and clatter from teeth being stripped off or the physical gears being broke.
