I recently bought a ls430. It came with 2 key one start the car. The other one only lock and unlock the vehicle. I have a factory scan tool i delete all the key from the ecu expect the one that start the car. After programming the other key it only unlock and lock the car but it won't star it and the scan tool identified the key as a sub-key not a master. Is the other key faulty? The one on the left is the master
I am out of ideas. You might need to take the car and valet key to a dealer and have it reprogrammed. A locksmith might be able to help you with that too. I assume you read the section of the owners manual on the smart keys for clues on what to do or how to reprogram.

I have the factory lexus scan tool. I can programmed and deleted keys, i programmed the key. But the only thing the work is the wireless function. Thanks for the help. I think I may just be a bad key
I don't have a Techstream because I have a Scanner to work on the variety of vehicles I own but in my experience the remote function of the key fob is programmed separately from the transponder in the key for the lock cylinder.

I taught the same thing but on this one you do everything is done at once. All newer lexus models once you programmed the smart key, the wireless door lock are programmed at the same time. The only one you do separately is second gen prius with smart key
