Am in Chicago. P.M. should you need someone to survey.
Thanks. I plan to head there after they and only if they call me with a price. Their website has no price for this yet.
The miles are so low as to be weird, IMHO. Speaking of weird; this car got a 4 wheel brake job at 36k miles. Is that weird? I guess old age could be a reason to replace pads and turn rotors, but...weird. I wonder if the PO was the type of driver who rode the brakes. We'll see.

Reason: improvement
Website says $ 16,500. Look out for rust on this car - time in Chicago matters, and low mileage or non-use will not forestall rust once it gets started.
I once owned a ford van bought new in Chicago and 5 years later it had rust problems; I did not use it for commuting and washed it regularly but still the entire underframe had rust everywhere.
For what it's worth, the color was gold. I don't mind it but it is the least popular color. Keep looking, you will find the one that you are looking for.
I found an '07 of interest. I have posted on the Gen4 forum about it. An oddball car.
**Update** Already sold, of course. I will wish the new owner luck. That car was riddled with problems from early on, and they didn't get much better from there. If curious, see my Gen4 post.
The search goes on.

Reason: Updated.
Hi All:
This one is mica blue/black. Miles 170.5k
2 owners and both did a lot of service and repairs at the dealer.
90k miles saw new water pump, and serpentine belt. This was the 90k mile service, so timing belt replacement had to be included?
So, I have to ask, what is with the brakes on these cars? I keep seeing early and multiple replacements.
This car got 4 new brakes @ miles 24.5k, 54k, 156.7k Rotors machines each time except the last one, replaced rears.
This car is at a used car lot. This is not a plus for me. Their reviews are all either great, or terrible. goes with the territory, I guess.
Asking $8995 and the fr pass seat has some kind of little tear an inch or two looks like it was repaired.
thanks in advance
Heavy car and cheap rotors or a heavy foot can cause them to warp. If it has a full service history, the price is decent. If you're serious after a positive test drive, get a PPI done to make sure that it isn't a rusty mess.

Rotors are holding up okay on the cars I have researched. I frequently see the pads replaced, rotors cut. My car is 7 y/o, 83k, fronts are fine. Weird.
I'm just a Candidate and don't know what a PPI is?

. 25,000-30,000 for brake replacement sounds about right for city driving. Personally, I never turn rotors, but will replace them if needed.

Break pad wear is completely dictated by driving habits and OE versus aftermarket quality. With gentle driving and OE Lexus pads you can get 60-80K miles out of set or even more. My rears are at 85K and at 4 mm, replacing next year at about 90K.
In addition to the PPI, form your own impressions with a thorough inspection and test drive. Do not rely on dealer pictures.
