C1500 Transfer Case Contact Plate "B" Encoder Circuit Failure

I checked this on a couple of websites. I also use an Innova OBD 2 scanner and you can look the codes up on their website.

Except an LS 430 doesn't have a transfer case.

To OP: are you sure about that code?

I thought about that, and posted anyway. Thanks for jumping in and saying something. A P1500 comes up as "starter signal circuit malfunction".

OP: Ignore my original post please.

Suggest initially clearing the code and checking that your battery connections are tight. If it comes back, check that fuses are secure.

Thanks I will definitely try that that's weird that c1500 popped up if there is no transfer plate though but that's definitely the code that popped up

How did you pull the code info? Any chance you're using a store-bought code reader claiming compatibility with multiple vehicle brands...?

I've never used one but I do remember other forum members pulling confusing codes with generic readers.

Hmm if it is reading the wrong code and it sounds like it is I think I'll just have it checked out to see if there is a problem I have noticed a weird noise below the passenger seat

You were right man it was throwing the wrong code the problem was an o2 sensor and wheel motion sensor also needed to get brakes, rotors, and a bearing done

If you are replacing your bearing due to a bad wheel speed reading, check your speed sensor cable first - those are known to fail on both front LH and front RH sides. Cheap and easy to replace.

For future use
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...for-ls430.html

A sado masochist chose the location of the O2 sensor connections.
