I just bought a 2002 Lexus LS430 for $4000 with 87k miles just got it yesterday there were no codes but today a code popped up as c1500 does anyone know what that code means and what the fix would be? I tried searching online for that code for a Lexus ands can't find any info
C1500 Transfer Case Contact Plate "B" Encoder Circuit Failure
I checked this on a couple of websites. I also use an Innova OBD 2 scanner and you can look the codes up on their website.

To OP: are you sure about that code?
Thanks I will definitely try that that's weird that c1500 popped up if there is no transfer plate though but that's definitely the code that popped up

Hmm if it is reading the wrong code and it sounds like it is I think I'll just have it checked out to see if there is a problem I have noticed a weird noise below the passenger seat
If you are replacing your bearing due to a bad wheel speed reading, check your speed sensor cable first - those are known to fail on both front LH and front RH sides. Cheap and easy to replace.
