Default Weird Double Pane Window issue

Has anyone ever seen this before? This is off a 2003 UL Model. I recently purchased the vehicle and curious how something like this happens? I want to retint the windows but gotta sort out this issue first. Thanks.

I've seen this in residential windows but never a vehicle. The seal between the two panes of glass is blown allowing moisture inside. I don't think there is anything short of replacing the window that you can do with it.

Yeah, was thinking the same as well.

Thoughts on putting single pane window instead of Double pane? Imagine just less road noise and such. Trying to find a local place around here with wrecked UL is slim pickins lol

Would you mind posting a pic. Just curious to see how bad they get to compare.

Very common issue on the early LS430's its de-lamination of the two pieces of glass. Seen it on many 2001-2003 UL 430s. Nothing you can do but replace the glass. Check ebay for used.

Anyone happen to know if Lexus did a recall in this? I know if a reach but you never know. I got lucky with a BMW 5 series, turbos went out and went on a BMW forum and nust happened to have a recall lol. Guess back down the rabbit hole I go for research lol.

Best to just try and get the passenger glass regardless of double pane. If you are going used, remember it can happen again. You'll most likely not notice any difference. Good luck.

Single pane and double pane glass is not interchangeable, as the attaching hardware has to different because of the glass thickness difference.

Sorry. Didn’t know that. I’ll make the assumption that a new glass is prohibitive so used is the practical way to go. Good luck.

I've seen threads here where people have successfully swapped from double pane to single pane

Nice....I'll look into local junkyards then work my way to Ebay and such if all else fails.

if someone threw a rock at your window and busted it would it be covered under your insurance as part of the glass coverage with zero deductible?
just sayin
