Default Running DRL with low Beams simultaneously

Here is what I would like to do I've read some posts about DR l's and none of them answer the question I'm asking.... I would like to run my DR l's with my low beams at the same time is that possible... I know I can change the DRL bulb to led's and I lose my high beam function... And I'm OK with that I just want to run my low beam HIDs with my drl leds at the same time...has anyone done this...

I wonder if it is legal to run DRL + low beam, so you may want to consider that before you do it (assuming that is even possible). May I ask why you want to do this? Is your low beam not bright enough, or just want to do it for the sake I want to do it? I have a long trip coming up in summer and been doing some reading on upgrading my low and high beam bulbs.

I would advise against installing LED to replace the high beam bulb. I have not seen any plug and play LED bulb that actually works better when replacing incandescent. They maybe brighter, but the light is usually not focused and create a lot of glare. It also may impact your vision because of too much foreground light. I believe HIR bulb is the only plug and play upgrade path for the high beam.

Its just for a look... as far as leds the cheap ebay ones suck. But i have quality ones on my current car 06 forester and beams are focus and bright... I've had my experience with the cheap $20 ones that would not be doing that again if you look there also quality ones out there that focus beam and last a long time[

I was actually blinded by a vehicle yesterday afternoon at a stop light because of the intensity of the headlights. There should be a law against letting idiots do such a thing! Is there no such thing as respect for others?

I understand blinding.....some people don't like to take the time to adjust their headlights after installing brighter bulbs I take great consideration when I install brighter lights.... I get mad when someone is blinding me and the 1st thing I say is you need to take the time to adjust your headlights... So not everyone is an idiot...

Forget about the DRL's - just keep your lights on.

No. No one has done that. The car already has fog lights.

D.O.T. has a list of lighting parameters as well as your state vehicle code for permissible lighting. Check those before making any mods.
