Angry DRL Stop working when low beams on

Has anyone had this issue? I have a 2007 GS 350. I had replace both low beam D4S about 6 mo ago. Just recently I noticed one of my DRL were out, but when I switched off my low beams, the DRL came back on. In the day time, the DRL also work fine, it's only when the low beams come on, does the one DRL shut off?

Thoughts anyone? I replaced both DRL with new ones already so it has to be tied to the low beams somehow.

This may sound stupid... But are the connectors on perfectly. (I'm not even going to go into why) but I found this to be a problem with HID's on a 2nd gen. The connector wasn't on tight and caused all sorts of issues with the lighting in the car.

DRL? are you talking about the center 9005 bulb in the high beam housing? if so, they SHOULD turn off when the low beam is on. i bet you are talking about the small wedge bulb on the upper side of the high beam housing, and they only turn on when the low beams are on. i bet that bulb is out, that's why when low beam on you see nothing.

happend to me. small wedge bulb burnt out. be carefully putting them in, try not to get any oils from your hands on the bulb itself. use gloves.

Default Wedge Bulb

Thanks guys for your quick responses, thats exactly the bulb, i never even noticed it tucked in under there. Why doesn't it come up when I search for bulbs? it only lists the lowbeam/highbeam bulbs. Can you guys help me on the bulb type?

Thanks for the advice on the gloves and oil, will follow through on that.....

Now if i could fix my rear window sunscreen that decided to stop midway up

PM our vendor XenonDepot and they can help with different bulb choices. As for the rear window screen, its not a cheap fix, I would suggest seeing if you can either get it up or fully down and pull the fuse so its stuck in that position. Also if someone was to press the button it will prevent it getting stuck again. Good luck
