Default New To the LS

Hi guys, I just wanted to introduce myself.

My name is Aleks and out of the 120+ cars that I have owned since the age of 15, this is my first Lexus; a 2004 LS430. My second car is a 2017 Unitronic tuned Jetta 1.4T.

The LS has 186XXX miles on it. I have attached a list of parts changed so far. Apparently cam phaser seal do not exists. Anyhow, this is my first intro to the car and have enjoyed reading your guys posts and thought you would enjoy this link here. Bought the first set of bling for the ride https://www.etsy.com/listing/5106180...op_home_feat_2

hope to chat soon!

Welcome to the forum. It'll be interesting to hear your opinion of how you think the LS430 drives in comparison to the multitude of cars that you have owned in the past.

I'm curious, why did you replace all of the coil packs?

How old are you? (Doesn't have to be exact, just wondering how you could have managed to go through that many cars)...

I am 28 years old. I had a plethora of various cars, including various luxury cars that include multitude of panther bodies wrapped and various badges. I stepped away from the German boats-love the cars, however the luxury market is problem after problem (A8, 7-Series, etc.).

Coil packs were replaced because half of them had cracks in the tubes. Everything is OEM through worldpac. The driver side valve cover was dirtier than the pass side and had minimal sludge. Found a Penzzoil oil filter on the car. Two owner car, first owner owned the car for two years and second had it for 10 years (lady), bought from a dealer in the middle of nowhere KY for $5500 two weeks ago. First impressions were great. I fell in love with the car back in 07 when a friend had a UL trim one, but could never afford one until now.

Welcome and congratulations. As a relative newcomer to the LS430 world (Dec ‘17) this forum & the members that contribute are very knowledgeable and have been very helpful. Are we to assume you are in the “auto business” in some way? I say this because I believe WorldPac sells only to business accounts ( which my Indie used to buy OEM parts for my ‘04).

Thank you! I figured that there was a 30/30 post-day gap. Memphis Racing Scene forums had the same deal back in the day. Thanks again.
