Default Cluster goes black when lights turned on.. ideas?

Hi All,
Something weird just happened. I had my headlights on while driving, a few minutes later my cluster/gauges (Odo, tach, fuel, etc gauges) all go black.
I stop and turn off the headlights and the cluster lights up again. Turn the lights on (even in parking light mode) and the cluster goes black again.
I few indicator lights are still working but not the gauges.
Everything else appears to be working.

Anyone have an ideas whats going on?

Quick update:
I just went back out there and I forgot to check the cluster adjustment ****.
I turned it brighter and it fixed the problem. Not sure what happened because I have not touched that for months.
Now I feel like a dummy for not checking that first. It must have adjusted itself or I unintentionally hit it without knowing.
Just letting you all know what it was lol

I've done that more than a few times when wiping down the dash and not realizing I've turned the **** all the way down.

What's even better is bumping the parking brake when you get in, just enough to trigger the switch, and as you drive off the Red Triangle starts flashing and you're thinking "What The...!!" Until you realize that it's the parking brake that just needs to be reset. I tell you, this car is pretty smart!!
Glad it was a simple "fix"...

At least I'm not the only one.
I also have hit the parking brake on many occasions.... it's just in that right spot.

I actually had to "learn" how to enter the car so I didn't hit the emergency brake. Never had a problem for years since.

I lightly hit the parking brake getting in at least twice a month. At first is was jarring but after so many years I just assume I am a clod and quickly reach down and pull the brake lever by touch having done it so often. Feel a little better now knowing it happens to others besides me. It never happens to me in any other car but the LS.
