Default Gauge Cluster Lights

This morning when I started my car the gauge lights didn't turn on.cluster was completely black
A few hours later when I left for work they were on?
Anyone else have this issue previously?
I'm assuming it's not a fuse since they came on later
This is the second time this has happened in the past week
Thanks everyone

The illumination for the cluster does not have bulbs, it's basically a film material that lights up, you'll probably have to replace that if possible or get a replacement cluster.

According to the below post, they are ccfl tubes, which become more temperature sensetive with age, and have to warm up. That would explain why it wouldn't work early in the am, but would work better after the car has warmed up some. Also, they apparently are pretty difficult to replace, other than doing an overlay or installing led's in the cluster that shine on the gauges (neither of which are easy to do properly).

They're not film, they are CCFL tubes. They are temperature sensitive and will be dim when its cold. If you want to stay with OEM then you'd have to pull a set from used gauges. OEM parts aren't cheap if you can find them. There are custom overlays and people like me have done custom LEDs too. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ml#post9667910
