Lexus calls its shims "Anti-squeal Shims", so I would definitely start my troubleshooting there. There's no need to un-bolt the calipers. Just simply remove the pin and slide the brake pads out. Carefully note each pad's location. Remove the shims and apply brake grease as indicated on the repair manual.
I would make sure I have factory pads and you should have no problem buy them on line all day long for $58 bucks I just did mine no squeal what so ever! good luck!
I used anti squeal shims from Sewell they have a rubber backing and it took care of my issue on the IS350. You know it's bad when you roll up to a dui check point and the officer cringed in horror when I started to brake. He just said you need to take care of that and waived me on lol.

i usually put some copper grease on the sides of the pads just for some precaution. I replaced mine with oem pads and they didnt make any sound at all after i bed them in.
