No sure what that circular disk is, but, it certainly does not belong to where it is now. You will have to go in and pull it out. Attached is the procedure to get inside the Combination Meter.

Someone has been in there before...the red needles don't look stock.

IIRC, 2001-03 have the red needle. 04-06 have the white needle.

the red needles are stock in the early 430s. I never liked them.

Display is bad. Send it in for repair.
We can also do 04-06 needle conversion in white, blue, etc.
