Default Does Bluetooth come on '04 LS?

I'm trying to find out if Bluetooth comes on an '04 LS430. I'm looking at picking up a friends LS from him in a couple months and he doesn't think it has Bluetooth. I've seen mixed posts saying that if the car has Navigation that it should have Bluetooth but haven't been able to confirm that yet. I'm looking to do hands free cell phone calling and would like to find out if I'm going to be able to use a built in system or if I'll be stuck with buying a Bluetooth ear piece.

Yes, version 1.0....only with Nav models. Nothing special now.

So it would be better to just go ahead and get an earpiece?

I guess streaming of music wouldn't happen either?

streaming is done with an aftermarket adapter. Look up the VAIS Tech SL3B
voice is fine for the OEM Bluetooth.

My 04 LS comes with Bluetooth, it has the modern luxury package, but it appears it won't work with my phone. I have a Motorola Razor M and according to the Lexus site it will not work. Maybe I need an older phone or maybe there is a download to get it to work. Right now all I get on the screen is Bluetooth failure to link every time I start the car. So if you really need Bluetooth to work check the Lexus website to see if your phone will work.

Check the menu screen for telephone icon option. If you have that, you have factory bluetooth. Streaming music through phone you'd need an after-market product from VaisTech, or similar. You cannot stream music through the factory Bluetooth - it's only for telephone.

I think your phone should work with the '04 factory Bluetooth. (In fact, in order to store phone numbers in the Telephone directory, you need an old technology phone, like an old Motorola Razr - which I keep just to add phone numbers.) Have you followed the directions to sync your phone to the vehicle? It's a little tricky ...

There's an official Android thread that you may want to try asking ... https://www.clublexus.com/forums/the...hread-261.html

I've tried a couple of times with my LS. My phone works fine on my 14 Grand Cherokee, 14 Ford Focus and my 15 Harley Ultra Limited. Maybe I'll try it again.
