Thing is, the coolant temp sensor will never really fail, in a tangible sense. So a lifetime warranty is really useless.
A well functioning, quality sensor will send the most accurate data to your ECM, keeping your fuel trims optimal.
I spent $35 bucks on my OEM Lexus sensor. Cheap insurance.
Where did you find it for $35?? I looked around and even Mylparts sells it for at least $60. If I could get it for that price I'll just return the one I got..

Hah, I wouldn't have thought eBay for my OEM parts. Seems a little sketchy but the seller seems reputable. I'll hop on this when I get the chance, and in the mean time I'll run with the Oreilly brand and see if my MPG improves.

Amayama has good deals for oem coolant sensor last starting from 31 dollars plus small delivery fee, in case if you don’t trust eBay (which I understand as I am in the same position sometimes).
I changed out the sensor yesterday. Engine cold, no coolant spilled out. Bought a sensor at Advance Auto (25% off). The replacement came with thread tape! Very easy replacement, took 15 minutes.

My lexus 3uz engine its not recording temperature bt i have seen some cables cut on the cluster connector so im thinking that where there problem is. So i got 2 questions here

I put in my new engine temperature sensor today. It was actually very easy. Just remove the air tube between the air filter and the throttle body and you have easy access. A 19mm deep well socket will easily remove it. Also gave the throttle body a little cleaning and the little idle port on top as well. I did not know about the port until DockOf-Bay mentioned it. Between cleaning the idle port and replacing the sensor she is really running great. A lot accomplished today.
A few pics of the process and the old sensor. In my opinion, antifreeze really does a number on the sensor and it should be replaced at the 90K service.
