Power Mirror issues

I currently have a 2004 Lexus LS430 and recently a few weeks ago looks like someone had shoved my mirror outward. Obviously my first thing I did was to push it back to place and try to adjust it/close it with the switch. Well now as soon as I turn the car on the mirror operates and does not stop and folds completely outward. Even in the fixed mirror option it automatically operates and move outward. What and how do I fix this??

take it apart to look at it or buy a new mirror

A new mirror is over 700 bucks at the dealer. Read this link I found using the SEARCH function:

Chances are that the detent that stops the mirror is broken.
Turn off auto fold feature if that works for you and do something better with $700.
