Default Wheel Interchange question

I just bought an 02 LS430 yesterday and of course it came with the old school alloys, they make the car look horrible. I want to interchange the wheels on it and came across a deal on some GX 460 wheels. I want to know if they will clear the brakes up front and how they look if anyone has done this swap, please put up some pictures and your tire sizes. I am sorry if this question has been answered before but i couldnt find it anywhere.

Thanks in advance.

That's a 6 lug right? You'll need adapters.

By the time you install the 15-20mm adapters, it will easily clear and may poke. I don't know if yours has the 17" or 18" alloys but for sportiness, there are the 3-GS and 2-IS wheels among OEM offerings. With hubcentric adapters, you can use pretty much anything. Some wheels that are liked are the Infinity G35/7 wheels. BMW, MB or Audi wheels if going to 120x5 lug pattern.

I wouldn't think of using the GX460 because the Lexus crowd will look at them and think...why a SUV wheel on a sedan? But it's your car so if you like

OE 2002 16" Factory Wheels:

Hey, I've got some of those dorky wheels. One thing about them, nobody is going to steal them! I'll bet they are strong too, as massive looking as they are. I think I'm going to keep mine.

Thanks RA40....Do you happen to have a link to pics with the diff wheels on them like you mentioned? Also how about the LS460 wheels? they are 5x120 correct?

Also, just to give you guys an example of the cheesy wheels lol:

By the time you buy adapters, you might as well buy proper wheels...

Default Cheesy wheels!

I have the same cheesy wheels on my 02 LS430. I don't like the way they look either, so in the fall i will be putting my Bridgestone Blizzaks on them, and leaving them as dedicated winter wheels. That'll give me until spring to get some nice 17" chrome lexus replica wheels with Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus tires to run solely in the summer.

Have the same on my black 2002 LS430 - I truly hate them but have bigger fish to fry at the moment with the car. This car looks like a huge fat beagle on these stock tires and rims. That being said I don't like the lowered look with the wheel camber all done up - really don't get that at all.

Anyway would love to see some rims and tire sizes that just look good on this car.
