Default 98+ wheel fitment question

this is not a "real vs replica" debate.

Looking to purchase a set of ESM 004 BBS LM replica wheels for my 98 LS400. 20x8.5 +35 & 20x10 +40. WIll these clear the brakes and not give me much problem other than maybe a small spacer for fine tuning flushness? I don't want the wheels to be cambered. Any help would be appreciated. Dont want to order wheels and have them be a pain.

read and search the wheel fitment sticky.

The wheels you choose have nothing to do with how cambered they are, that's purely determined by suspension geometry (ie adjustments and lowering).

No way of knowing if those wheels will clear the front brakes as no manufacturer information is given on ESM's site. If ESM states they're high-disk wheels (or that they will clear large brakes) then you're likely OK. But if not, odds are against you. You could always try to call ESM.

We can't advise you on further fitment as you haven't stated what your goals are.

Thanks for the help.

As far as my goals, I want that size set up, going with coilovers, not looking to slam the car, just get rid of any wheel gap and have them flush.

So I'll call them and find out if they suggest them for big brake cars. Any type of measurement I can ask for ?

They may give you disk size which will tell you if it will fit big brakes. This may help you understand disk size

Those specs will need at most a roll in the front and possibly (but unlikely) in the rear (depending on tires sizes) at the most, provided no spacers are used.

fitment is also a factor of tire size and ride height. on paper those specs will fit just fine if you do not require a spacer (for reasons already mentioned), and aren't too low.

keep in mind tire sizes vary between manufacturer, as some do not run true to size. in other words a 225/35/20 hankook will vary in sidewall size and profile than the same size 225/35/20 toyo for example.

here is an example of 20" fitment (minus being slammed haha).

weds maverick 405s
20x9 +24 225/35 nitto nt555
20x10 +24 245/35 nitto nt555
no pull, all stock fenders, just shaved front and back!
