I noticed the fuel door indicator is lit up on my dash this evening. I checked the fuel door and it is closed. I opened and shut it a few times with no luck removing the warning light. Maybe the switch is bad. I did replace the subwoofer today and took the back seat completely out of the car. I wonder if I could have accidentally unplugged something during that process. Does the fuel door indicator wires run inside the cab or outside. If it runs outside, I would imagine the switch went bad. Just seems weird it happened right after I got my car put back together. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.
can you take a pic? What are you saying is the "fuel door" indicator? I don't believe there is an indicator to show that the door is open. If you mean the little orange square under the fuel level indicator, that's to indicate your fuel is low.
I think the indicator is just a pointer that shows which side of the car the fuel door is on, depending of whether it is a left hand or right hand drive.
Just curious, why did you take the rear seat out, just to replace the sub???
Made removing the package tray easier? I replaced it with a kicker 8 ohm speaker and had to drill new holes to secure the new speaker. From the research I have done on this site, that was the best method. You also have to do so to replace the rear struts.
Sorry for my ignorance, this is my wife's car, the fuel door indicator light just shows you which side the fuel door is on? I asked her if that light was on before and she had not noticed it. Maybe she over looked it the entire time. I can take a picture and post it if it helps. Thanks for everyone's help.
The new sub sounds great. Compared the old, not too much different as I thought the ML always sounded good until the old one crapped out. The quality of the new sub looks and feels much better, that is for sure.
