Default WOOSHING sound at idle?

On another thread, a member mentioned that his car is not as quiet as it used to be at idle. I had mentioned that the my car was pretty quiet and had no complaints really.... But today, I noticed that there is an air rushing sound behind the dash when my car is at idle in park,. (NO A/C or seat vents being used) But as soon as I put the car into drive the air rushing sound goes away, and the car is dead quiet. Anyone else notice this? Anyone know what this due to?

is your cabin getting the air on the outside or circulating the air inside? sometimes the car changes it by itself to get the air from the outside.

Yeah, I thought about that too. With the car sitting, with my foot on the brake, I have switched between recirculate and fresh, and I hear the motors moving the flaps in the dash, but the wooshing sound remains. It's not loud, but noticable if the radio is off and you are looking for it. Not really complaining about it, but I am curious as to what it is and to make sure it's normal.

EDIT: It stopped doing it...Must be something computer controlled....
