Default HELP: Window Adjustments and Squeaking

I've been dealing with the infamous windows seal squeak on my LS for about 1 year now and it is extremely annoying to me. I apply original Armor All to the seals and it both cleans and conditions them and helps for a while. Recently while doing this procedure I decided to check the windows to see if they were stable. To my surprise, with the windows about 50% down, I can grab the top of the window and actually rock the window front and back (toward the front/rear of the car) quite a significant amount. This is happening to all four windows/doors on my car.

I'm now wondering if perhaps there is a problem with the window mounting bolts having come loose and causing this problem. I'm assuming this window mounts to the motor drive assembly with at least two bolts at the bottom of the window.

It would be a huge help if someone who does not have the squeaking noises could double check their windows and see if the can easily rock them back and forth when the window is half way down?

I would not use Armor All on the window seals. Use a product called F21 by Turtle wax. F21 is urethane based while armor all is water based and will evaporate a lot quicker. Armor all will give some surfaces a glossier shine but does not have the protection of F21.

Thanks for the recommendation - I'll consider that. Any thoughts as to whether or not it should be possible to rock the windows front to back when rolled 1/2 way down?

not sure about the windows rocking, but i had the squeak, then read on here about the silicon spray so i picked up a can for about 2$ and sprayed a little on the squeaking windows once and in over a year the squeak never came back.

Mine creaked like a haunted house. Applied silicone spray and so far so good.

+1 for silicone. I started off using petrolium jelly (worked great, no noises at all), but then I realized that it would degrade rubber over time. Silicone has worked well, also WD40 is pretty good as a lubricant as well.

Now to fix that very slight occasional rattle from the dashboard lol

So how do you apply this stuff? Just spray it on the window channels or spray it on a rag and wipe? This "dreaded" squeek only appears on the driver's window. It's funny, in a way, that this car is so quiet that you notice these little irritations that would not be noticed on most cars...

Open the window and see where the window channel is that the window goes up and down in. Just spray the fluid inside that rubber gasket wipe off excess and your good to go.
