Rubber Window Seal Catching On Window
Hey guys, been having an issue lately with my driver's side window catching on the little rubber seal on the inside of the car that has a felt like material on one side and rubber on the other side. It appears this seal should be guiding the window down but instead rolls down with the window itself. I don't have any issues rolling the window up, just down. I have 5% limo tint on all the windows, but the film is very thin, not sure if this matters. It is almost as if the seal wants to go with the window on its way down. Has anyone else had this issue? I tried putting grease on the seal but all that has done is smeared up the window on the inside and outside. Would it be okay to cut the rubber seal off since it is inside the car and not outside. Doesn't look like cutting it off would really affect much, but I could be wrong. This window issue has only been occuring since winter time started. When it is warm outside or the sun has beat down on the window for awhile, it goes down without me having to push down on it. Any ideas?

My old car started doing that as the rubber aged. I found I could keep it from being too bad by "conditioning" it from time to time with Armor All. Also, when it did do it, I would go back up just a smidgen with the window after lowering it, to keep the rubber from being folded over on itself and deteriorating worse, like a wrestler's cauliflowered ears.
My 92 had the same problem last month.
Rolled up fine, hung going down.
The little rubber/felt gasket you mentioned hung and broke.
After it broke, the window goes up and down normally now.
The end of the gasket sticks up a bit, so i'll have to take the panel off sometime to inspect/repair.
So far though, I see no ill effects to it being broken.

Yeah, only problem is putting grease or silicone on it smears the window up on the inside and outside. I might just remove the rubber stripping so it doesn't have anything to get stuck to when rolling the window down lol.
