Default Do all 2005 LS 430 have smart key keyless start?

Hi, this is my first post here. I just purchased a 2005 LS 430 and am awaiting delivery.

Does anyone know if the smart key keyless start is a feature that comes standard or is it an option?

Thank You.

Welcome to CL and congrats on your purchase.

I believe the smart key was an option but someone pls correct me if it was not.

I just bought an '05 LS myself so have been reading up on it in the manual. I found 41 pages devoted to this key!! Very confusing to me.

Good luck with the car.

I do have the navigations and bluetooth. Could it be that all 2005 430's with the blue tooth would automatically have the smart access keyless start?

The window sticker for my '05 LS430 shows smart key as a $1000 option. Maybe they all have it, though.

Most definitely an option, but very few MLs and nicer shipped without it.

No, smartaccess was an option through the '04-'06 and MOST did have it, but I've saw one white Custom luxury without it when I was shopping. Killed the deal for me... besides being white.

Finally a sure fire way to know- I called the dealer! Got lucky, it does indeed have the smart access! Thanks for all of your helpful replies.

Not really "sure fire" .... you would think the Lexus dealer would know best, but during my shopping, we called one place they couldn't tell an LS from a ES ( which actually is not uncommon... ) They thought that the LS came in only two trim, base with no NAV and then a NAV was "fully loaded." When I asked if it was a Custom level, they actually said "oh no, it standard from Lexus. Lexus doesn't make custom vehicles..." duh !!!

Depends on dealer and the salesperson I guess...
