Default 03 LS 430 Replacement Key

I just purchased a 2003 LS 430 and only got 1 key. Does anyone have any suggestions as what the most economical way to get an additional key is? I see some offered on ebay for as little as $60 for an uncut key with remote. Is it difficult to find a place besides the dealer to get the key cut and how difficult is it to program the remote? Thanks

Buy the blank from eBay. Find a local shop that will cut the key for you. You will still have to program the remote and the immobilizer. Many of the sellers on eBay include these programming instructions. But if you need them pm me and I will send them to you.

This only applies if you have a master key. If you only got a valet key you are SOL. You will need to go to Lexus, or at least a locksmith that has the right equipment.

I had just one key for my 04 LS430 and ordered one from Sewell Lexus (https://www.lexus-parts.com/) for $13x.00 already laser cut and had the dealer program it for $30. Great deal!
