Default Alignment on a UL with Data System Controller

This may be a stupid question but I have to ask. I assume that once you settle on a height that you will run with a majority of the time that you would take your car in to have it aligned at those specific settings?

I would suggest setting the car to normal height, then get the alignment. Dropping the car via the controller a few inches should not affect the alignment. Even dropping it way low will camber the wheels but should still be in alignment.

This is where I am unsure, thus the reason why I asked the question. If I didn't have a UL with DC and I put on coilovers or some other suspension change, I would have the car realigned because of the camber change (there are adjustments that can be made for camber right)? So, moving that thinking to the UL with DC, I would think along the same lines no?

I bought the car in May and it is a CPO and alignment was checked. Since then I have only put on 3K miles. Running with my stock 18" alloys with the DC in different settings, I had no alignment issues that I can tell. I am the process of installing new wheels and shoes and spent a lot of $'s so want to make sure I do the right thing and get it aligned if it is recommended to do so.

Others have opinions/thoughts on this? More would be appreciated.

i would always recomend someone to get an allignment done whenerver they put on big aftermarket rims especially if you spent a lot of money on the car and rims... i always did this after my first negative allignment 20" rim experience.

Agreed 100% to this thought.

Align the car with the height that you would run on majority of the time.

The camber and toe changes A LOT as the suspension go up and down.

I did an alightment on my car w/ the settings of 6 in the front and 5 in the rear....so far it seems to help w/ my tire wear....but its weird b/c i get faster tire wear in the front, than I do in the back.....back seems to last a very long time!
