Default Alignment question – refuse to do it...

I called one local alignment center to do my GS4, and he recommended that I should go to Lexus Dealer. He said something about he doesn’t have some special tool to reset some kind of sensor for rear suspension? What is he talking about? At least he is honest about it. He does have Hunter. Should I just let him do it? $69.00 for all 4…

I called Lexus dealer, and they want $129.00 for all 4 wheels. Any good place in the Bay Area?

Alignment consist (on our car) of changing the toe and camber.

Sounds to me like someone doesn't want to do an alignment job

What suspension do you have? Even if you dropped very low, the least they could do is set your camber as positive as possible, and have the toe corrected. I did my own alignment at home (toe only, since my camber is fine). No sensor(s) that I know of...

The only place to go to in the Bay Area is "Custom Alignment" in Mountian View. Ask anyone is Norcal and that's who they would reccomend. I am very satisfy with my alignment. Are you still interested in the exhuast tip?

Guess he didn't wanna admit that he couldn't fix it. Better safe than sorry.

Perhaps he misunderstood you when you told him a GS and he thought it was a GX. GX's do have a sensor that adjusts for the 3 different ride heights. Just a thought.

Yea.. theres no "sensor" to reset.. Unless he's refering to the sensor for the headlight leveling.. in which case, you only need a 10mm..
