Alignment Question
So I am debating with my local alignment guy about this. Does aligning the car with the stock 17x8 wheels and then putting 19x8.5 +45 & 19x9.5 +42 change the alignment specs? In my mind since the offset and width is different, the alignment would be different. What is everyones take on this?

I'd say I have to agree with you, it just makes since that the alignement would be different. But I'm by no means an expert.
Have you tried anouther shops opinion?

I was told that yes it does change.... By going from 17's to 19's or 20's the camber will change from what i heard... I just had my car aligned and they said the specs where way off and the car drives great now.... When i got the wheels they came balanced so i just slapped them on like everyone else does and the ride wasn't great... But now the alignment makes all the difference.... Good Luck

When your camber is set, it is in relation to where the car is sitting with the suspension at it's normal attitude, which is determined by the wheels (which again are for the most part fixed in relation to the car). The camber won't change for the most part unless you put a drastically deformed or different shaped tire on there.
Same goes for the toe and caster settings.
The only time it would probably not be too good is if you aligned with very worn tires, and then put on some new ones. But alignment with good condition stock tires, then changing to something else should not be any problem at all.
