Default Bought a new ls !!

As some of you know, i was getting frustrated with my 99 LS, nicknamed "the money pit" Also known as words the Mods might not want me to use in these forums. So tonight I traded it in on a 2004 LS 430. Pearl white, and grey. What a car! This is what owning an LS is supposed to be like! It even has a.c. in the seats! And an owners manual about as thick as a phone book. I am so happy!

Good luck to you all and your cars, I hope your luck is better than mine was.

See you in the 430 forums!

David

I can't seem to be happy driving anything else, this new LS is sooo much better, I should have bought a 430 in the first place. Also, my 400 aside, I do think/hope that this car will be more reliable. Either it will, or I'll feel really, really stupid. My service advisor says the 430 is even better than the 460, as far as complaints go. We shall see. Fingers crossed.

Atl,

Care to share what was wrong with your 99' LS400? Did things goes wrong due to mods? Or it was all stock?

The LS460 is still too new with new technologies, that is why it got more things going wrong.

CONGRATS Atl!

Maybe we will bump into each other here in the "A". We need more LS430's to rep @ our SELOC meets. As it stands now it is just me.

99 LS All stock, 120K miles: Rear main seal blew, valve gasket covers blew, oil pan gasket leaked, steering rack leaking p.s. fluid, idle issues, engine mounts going, front suspension clunking, and the cherry on top, the a.c. compressor was dying. Also an annoying slight lateral vibration at hwy. speed, that probably due to the front suspension. It was a totally clean car inside and out and serviced at Lexus dealer, it was not neglected! Just a Jaguar with a Lexus emblem on it. I pulled the plug when I found out the compressor was done. Soooo Pissed! $4000.00 in repairs in one year was enough ! My 1968 Fiat Spyder was/is more reliable.
Anyway, onto the new 430, I might be too young to be driving it, but it does look like a younger mans car than the 400 did, and as I drive alot, I need a comfortable car, but I also need 300 H.P.!!
Two minor things I don't like, the stereo is not as good as in my 400, which surprised me, I don't have the Mark Levenson, which I wish I had; and the top speed being limited to 130. That's about it. Gas milage is up as well, a good thing!
