Looking to pick up an 01-03 LS and was reading through the FAQ.


I am coming across a few with Navigation, and am wondering if it is fully loaded with the air ride suspension.(If 01-03s even came with it.)

Will the center console of an 01-03 look the same as the 04-05?

 

Welcome to CL

1. The air suspension comes with the Ultra-luxury package.
2. Center console that you posted is from an 04-06 because the shift gate area that I highlight in blue is different than the 01-03.
Otherwise, the whole center stack from navigation down to the lower buttons for the cold/heated seat are the same.

Thanks for the link, I actually found that not 30 sec after I posted lol. So basically in my search for UL, I am looking for a center console that has those 3 switches that are highlighted in red, otherwise it can't har air ride without having the UL package right?

I have been reading the lexus archives and I have been getting confused because it seems like individual options can be selected lol.

 

Just to clarify, that last top switch to the right is the PWR button thats controls the transmission shift points and is available on EVERY LS since 1990

Yes, only the UL has air suspension.

 

Yes, there were "individual" options like moonroof and DVD which were options back then... as reference, this is a 2001 shifter gate. The change was for the 6-speed in 2004 with the "sport" manual shifting... "SPORT??"

 

One more point of clarification, the custom luxury package was also available with air-suspension. The quickest way to tell if it's UL is the look at the rear-seat arm-rest- it'll have controls on it.

 

Yes, you are correct, i forgot the CL package was available with air suspension

One thing though, CL is much harder to find than UL

No problem. I've found that ML are a dime-a-dozen out here, in various colors. Here in northeast, UL seems to be harder to find than CL, unless you're talking specifically the '01-'03 which I'm not looking into. I've found quite a few CL, but not in color combo or condition that I'm looking for.

I did not know that air suspension was avaiable earlier in the CL trim. It was standalone option right, not part of package? I didn't see it listed in the Lexus library for '02 as part of CL package.
