This is from a non-ultra, non-fridge 04 LS430. Can this be removed if one were wanting to put a couple of subwoofers in the trunk?

first aid kit? access to fuel tank/pump area? james bond gizmo? pillow for dead bodies in that HUGE trunk??

 

I'm guessing here, but are you referring to the rectangular shaped object in the trunk floor??? If so, nope . . . you can't remove it. I'm customizing two 12" Alpine Type X subs to take up that area and leave the other half (rear) of the trunk for storage.

 

Yes, I was wanting to put my sub box back there as well. What is it that it cannot be removed?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that has something to do with the nav system.

 

not very wise to put that there, out of all places why did they put whatever is there, THERE?

I dont own a ls but after seeing this I am curious as to what this thing is,

anyone know exactly

 

I'll say that it's not in my '04 Ultra without Navigation, maybe it does have something to do with the NAV.
