Paint steering wheel pad
I have just followed everyone's advice and found a well preserved 2000 LS400. I am trying to pretty up the interior. I am used to black steering wheels and while I can cover the steering wheel with a leather wrap (and preserve the wood) I am not sure how/if the air bag/wheel pad can be painted? Is it vinyl?

yes the air bag is vinyl and yes you can paint it using vinyl paint.
i have not seen much folks paint their interiors here but i have seen it done elsewhere on the internet. as with anything that involves painting, preparation and using the right product goes a long way.
