keyless remote
Well it looks like my key (93 LS400) which activates the alarm and locks/unlocks my doors has quite working. I switched the battery thinking that was the problem but still no dice. Anybody had any expierence with this? Is it the key or is the box in the car? Is it easy to fix? How much does it cost? Anyway to test to see which it is? Any info would be great.

Mine never worked. I tried replacing the battery as you did but that didn't work. I never tried to figure out the problem beyond that after I read that the range of the remote was a measly 3 feet 
. It seems like they just stop working and the only thing you can do is replace the receiver system. A much easier solution is to have an aftermarket alarm installed. That way you get your keyless entry back and then you have two alarms!
