Default engine squeaking at Idle. Serpentine belt or accessory?

When my car is at Idle I hear a light chirping noise coming from the front of the motor. I replaced the serpentine belt and thermostat / gasket maybe a year ago. It doesnt go away when the car warms up at all. I can only hear it at idle though. The Power steering pump has also been replaced about a year ago. Water pump was done 3 years ago along with the timing belt. The car just turned 160k. Any ideas

It could be one of the bearings being shot in one of the pinwheels that turn the serpintine belt, thus causing squeaking.

It could be or whatever is holding the pinwheels in place. I had a slight noise coming from one of the pinwheels and mechanic sprayed some WD-40 on it and the noise was gone.

Your fan bracket might be bad... common in 1UZFE. I just took my fan bracket out few days ago... not too hard..

By fan bracket do you mean the fan clutch? or just the bracket? How much for a new one, and where did you get it from?

thanks

WD-40 cured my "squeek" at idle as well. Cheapest fix to date!

Fan clutch. WD-40 will relief some symptoms, but the problem need to be fixed. If you need complete instruction on how to replace it. Please email me. I just took my out and i discover something very interesting.

Could be one of the idler puleys under the timing cover.
I have the same noise myself. In order to make sure that it's not some accesory or serpantine belt itself, I removed the belt and ran the motor (less than a minute).
In my case the noise was still there - that means timing puleys.
Try this. Then you'll know for sure.
