I just got some cheap 4 wire sensors off ebay, snipped the 2 heat wires and left 2 on. They work perfectly fine and were cheaper than the single wire ones. I'm in Australia so not sure what prices are elsewhere. But most o2 sensors are the same quality in the oem market.

Hi Moarpower

I知 in Australia as well could you tell me where you got it please.
And when you say cut the 2 left one痴 as there the heat one痴 how
did you work that out and how do I know what the left is as I知 guessing
that would depend on what way it痴 being held?.

Thanks so much for your help it痴 greatly appreciated.

Th ones I got were these

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Universal-Oxygen-Sensor-4-Wires-500MM-Long-with-Crimps-Heat-Shrink-O2-Sensor/281742208072?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I just researched the part and figured out the wires. The 2 white ones are heater, the black is signal and the grey was ground on the ones I received. when I say LEFT, I mean, I left them connected.

I know your 1uz is in a hilux so the lengths and position may be different.

Yes snip the plug off the original sensor. The ones I received the black was the signal, so that goes to the plug. The gray was the ground so that I put a clamp and bolted to the exhaust. The white ones you can cut.

i personally just bought sensors with the connector already on there for convenience.

OEM, Bosch & Denso are the best brands for o2 sensors IMO. I opted for Bosch since they were very reasonably priced. Check the thread i posted for part #'s.

i'm not sure but i doubt it. you could search on ebay for your specific year o2 sensors and might be able to find the part #'s that way

Rockauto.com will have the correct part numbers.I bought Denso upstream and downstream and have had no problems for over three years.Good luck.

The one and two wire universals (splice) are pretty reasonable even going with the name brands. I've tended to use Denso or Bosch.
