Default Torque Settings for Starter's Replacement

I've recently removed & replaced both starters in my 97 & 00 Lexus LS400's. For those of you that are going to tackle this job yourself, here are the part #'s & torque settings you'll need to get your car back in 1 piece:

1. Toyota rear water bypass gaskets (qty 2): 16341-50010. Torque to 13 ft-lbs (Make sure to buy brand new & do not re-use the old gaskets to ensure a leak free on such a big repair job)
2. Toyota starter: 281005006284. Two 14mm bolts. No room to use torque wrench so use modified wrench & hand tight w/ extension on modified wrench
3. Throttle body gasket: Fel-Pro 60893. Torque to 13 ft-lbs
4. Plenum & upper intake manifold's gasket set: Fel-Pro MS94753. Torque plenum & upper intake manifold to 16 ft-lbs & 13-ft lbs, respectively
5. EGR pipe's nuts at both ends: 13 ft-lbs
6. Fuel rails & union bolt: 26 ft-lbs
7. Valve covers: 52 in-lbs (if yours are leaking)
8. Spark plugs: 13 ft-lbs (if you've decided to replace them while at it)

There you have it. Enjoy & good luck.

If you take the car to any shop even the dealer, no one working that job flat rate is going to use a torque wrench.

Then I suppose it's a good thing he was leaving the info for those wanting to do the work themselves. :P
