Default Air Plenum Torque

Will someone please confirm torque for 2003 ES300 air plenum to manifold (8mm hex fasteners). From what I read, it is around 12-15 ft-lbs. Thanks.

Yes. I recall 14 ft-lbs from the reference when I recently had it off. But a tweaking each one with a wrench is not critical in this application.

You want it tight but not cranked on so hard as to deform the gasket. Same range as a spark plug roughly - snugged up and then another 1/2 turn maybe.

It is aluminum so do not over torque it.

on a 96 the 8MM Hex per tech manual are 32 ft lbs ( 2 bolts and 2 nuts ) These are the set in front of the intake chamber, correct?

I normally put a coat of di-electric or silicone grease on the insides of the plenum.

This is in case I need to take it off again years later so it won't be "glued" and helps to seal it from leaks.
