1994 Remote Key programing

If I buy a remote key for a 1994 LS400 (one with the tiny button on the side) can I reprogram it myself?

The new remote key will comes with a pre-programmed clip. This clip need to be install inside of the Wireless door lock ECU located on the left hand side of the trunk( next to antenna).
