Default 98-00 Power steering filters?

I have searched and can not find the answer.

Do 98-00 ls400's have a power steering filter/ screen?

If so where?

Thanks

no filter, there is a screen on the solenoid end and at the base of the reservoir. None that are regularly replaceable. There are guides on how to clean them, and if you wish, to ad another filter inline.

Default No filter on 1999 ls400 power steering rack solenoid

Removed Power Steering Rack Solenoid:
A single 12mm hex bolt and turn body gently side to side while pulling solenoid out.

It resembles a larger version of a VVTi solenoid.

No filter screen on the solenoid or valve body bore.

I did notice a few very fine flecks of metal in the fluid in catchment pan.

Anyone know whether the power steering fluid reservoir on 1998 - 2000 LS400 has a filter screen?

If so then probably worth removing reservoir to clean screen.
